About me:

I'm a French architect and have been living in Hackney for the past four years. I enjoy sharing my interest in architecture and the built environment.

Why I was interested in this project:

I wanted to be more involved in the community and learn another aspect of the environment I'm living in; not just aesthetic, history!

Significant Buildings Researched:

  1. 1. 176 Whitechapel Road [view]

Despite the tiger stripes, I quite like the fact that this place might have always been a public house.

  2. 2. 180 Whitechapel Road [view]

I found amazing that such a vibrant story sits underneath such a dull building!

  3. 3. Site of Captain James Cook's House [view]

Just a slate plaque on brick wall, is that it? What a nice gesture for one of the greatest English navigators!
